Home & Garden Television (HGTV) presents some of America's best home builders, decorators, gardeners and craft experts as they provide practical information to help people make the most of their lives at home. Launched in 1994, HGTV is one of the nation's fastest-growing cable television networks. HGTV Canada, a partnership between HGTV and Alliance Atlantis, launched in 1997. HGTV can also be seen in Japan, Australia, Thailand, Hungary, Czech and Slovak Republics.
Food Network, a 24-hour cable television network, was launched in 1993. Scripps acquired controlling interest in the network from A.H. Belo Corporation in 1997. Food Network's programming focuses on cooking, food preparation, healthy eating, at-home entertaining and restaurants. Internationally, the network is distributed in Canada, Japan and the Philippines.
DIY Network is a simultaneous on-air, online network that provides immediate access to step-by-step instructions, in-depth demonstrations and tips for the do-it-yourself home enthusiast. The multi-platform network merges television with an integrated website to help viewers take projects from concept to completion.
