Exotic Indian Palace
"Maharaja's Court"
Following the decline of the Mogul Empire in the 18th century, the Indian subcontinent dissolved into a patchwork of smaller principalities, each with its own ruling family. Many of these local dynasties persisted under British rule by cooperating with colonial administrators, and several of the sumptuous palaces they built for themselves in the 19th and early 20th centuries have been converted into stylish luxury hotels.
Check into the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur former home of Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II and you can play tennis on royal ground, surrounded by exotic formal gardens and regal Rajasthani architecture.
