A decade ago, the owners of The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., opted to demolish the old tennis facilities at this 85-year-old Rocky Mountain retreat and rebuild from the ground up. Now, with nine state-of-the-art courts on a terraced hillside, and hall-of-famer Dennis Ralston leading a team of professional instructors, The Broadmoor has become a top destination for serious tennis enthusiasts.
Just remember, if you've recently arrived from lower altitudes, the thin air more than a mile above sea level is sure to take the edge off your game until you've had a chance to acclimatize.
