African Safari Lodge
"Where the Wild Things Are"
The 1930s-era clay court at Kirkman's Kamp, a well-appointed safari lodge on the edge of South Africa's Kruger National Park, is surrounded by a high chain-link fence that serves as much to keep the local wildlife out as to keep wayward tennis balls in.
Once part of a colonial homestead, the property now belongs to the Exeter Private Game Reserve, and its 18 air-conditioned cottages provide a comfortable base for day and night safaris in search of leopards, lions, elephants and other big game.
