The islands of the Caribbean are well endowed with big, modern resorts and sports clubs where tennis is a key component of on-site recreation. Anse Chastanet is not among them. This secluded 600-acre property on the leeward coast of St. Lucia has just 49 comfortably rustic guest rooms spread over a lush hillside with views of the Pitons, the distinctive twin peaks that are the island's signature geographical feature.

With no TV or air conditioning and an abundance of natural attractions, Anse Chastanet explicitly invites its guests to "do nothing" while staying at the resort, but the property does offer a range of outdoor activities for less sedentary visitors, including dive excursions, ocean kayaking, jungle mountain biking, and tennis on a well-situated court near the beach.
