Great Pyramid Quintessential Experiences: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum

Designed by architect I.M. Pei, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a must visit for all music lovers.
You could spend an entire day wandering through this elaborate shrine to rock and roll, which traces the origins and development of rock music from early 20th-century bluesmen through the crossover artists of the 1950s to todays mainstream international pop stars. And although cynics might scoff at the notion of bringing such a rebellious, multifaceted and free-spirited art form into the shrink-wrapped confines of a formal museum, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame shows nothing but r-e-s-p-e-c-t for one of the most powerful forces in popular culture to emerge over the past 100 years.
In addition to displays honoring artists who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame, the striking pyramidal structure designed by architect I.M. Pei houses numerous interactive exhibits, film and video presentations and an ongoing schedule of temporary exhibitions. The permanent collection includes musical instruments, posters and other promotional items, clothing worn by famous rockers, and such wide-ranging artifacts as John Lennons school report card, a piece of the airplane that crashed in 1967 with Otis Redding aboard, and Hank Williams signature white cowboy hat.
The museum is located in downtown Cleveland on the shores of Lake Erie and is open daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas. Admission is free for children age 8 and under, $13 for ages 9 to 12, and $22 for adults. Seniors age 65 and over are entitled to a $5 discount off the normal adult price. That means you, Mick and Keith.
