With its tasteful Mediterranean-style architecture and 50 acres of greenery, the JW Marriott feels more like Scottsdale or Palm Springs than razzle-dazzle Las Vegas. Guests can enjoy peaceful surroundings and lovely desert views here in suburban Summerlin, but whenever they feel the urge to dip a toe in the city’s round-the-clock entertainment scene, the Strip is only a short drive away.
Unlike the Las Vegas mega-resorts where rooms are counted in the thousands, the JW has just 459 rooms and 77 suites, with six restaurants, a spacious spa and fitness center and a relatively modest 50,000-square-foot casino. The property also features an 11,000-square-foot free-form pool, and guests can book tee times at the adjacent Tournament Players Club at the Canyons.
