The typical Hollywood image of casino gambling usually involves dapper men in black tie and willowy women in slinky gowns confidently sipping cocktails as they place large sums of money on the line. Some restaurants and showrooms uphold minimal dress codes, but unless you want to be formal for the fun of it, casual attire is almost always appropriate.

But it’s also a good idea to carry a light jacket or sweater as protection against overzealous air conditioning in casinos, restaurants and showrooms. A sweater or jacket will be necessary in winter as well, when nighttime temperatures often drop into the 30s or 40s.
