There's nothing fancy about this Buckhead outpost of Marriott's all-suite Residence Inn chain, but the combination of spacious accommodations, full kitchens, fold-out sofa beds and outdoor recreational facilities makes the Residence Inn Atlanta-Buckhead a particularly good value for families or small groups.
The complex of 17 two-story buildings has a total of 136 units in various configurations and sizes, all with separate entrances and sitting areas, some with fireplaces. A basic buffet breakfast is included for all guests, and the property features a self-service laundry, a seasonal outdoor pool, an outdoor basketball/volleyball/paddle tennis court and a picnic area with barbecue grills. Breakfast is the only meal served on-site, but guests who don't want to cook for themselves can have food delivered from nearby restaurants.
The downside to this suburban location is that you'll almost certainly need your own wheels. Free parking is available, and for guests who don't drive, the inn offers limited free shuttle service in the immediate area, including to the nearest MARTA rail station about a mile away.
