If you're looking to save some money on entertainment while in Atlanta, head for either of two AtlanTIX discount ticket booths operated by the Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts in conjunction with the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. Same-day half-price tickets are available for a wide range of concerts, plays, dance and film events, as well as same-day discount admission to more than a dozen local attractions, including the Atlanta History Center, the High Museum of Art, the Margaret Mitchell House and Zoo Atlanta.

The original downtown AtlanTIX booth is in the visitor information center at the Underground Atlanta shopping center (at the corner of Upper Alabama and Pryor streets, one block from the Five Points MARTA station). A second location opened recently in Buckhead at the Lenox Square shopping center. Both AtlanTIX booths are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm, and Sundays from noon to 4 pm. Tickets are limited, so arrive early for the best selection.
