The 2005 unveiling of eight new suites at this impeccable Glen Ellen bed and breakfast has brought the total room count at the Gaige House Inn to 22, including accommodations in the magnificently restored Victorian main house and in several detached buildings set in the garden and alongside a quiet creek.
Each room or suite is individually decorated in inviting, contemporary style, some with striking Asian-influenced interiors and small private Japanese gardens. All rooms are equipped with telephones, wireless Internet access, televisions and CD/DVD players, and all have well-appointed bathrooms en suite. The inn also offers a full menu of massage and spa services, and a nice outdoor swimming pool that is heated from May through October.
High-season rates range from $275 to $550 per night, including a dazzling breakfast that eclipses the ordinary morning meals served at most B&Bs. Off-season rates drop to a range of $150 to $475 from late November through the end of March, when rooms outfitted with soaking tubs and fireplaces are particularly appealing.
