India, The Taj Mahal Wondrous Destinations
No matter how many pictures you have seen and how many descriptions you have read, there's really no way to grasp the delicate beauty and mathematical perfection of the Taj Mahal until you have experienced it in person up close and at a distance, from multiple angles and at different hours of the day. Arguably the most compelling time to stand before this illustrious architectural masterpiece is at twilight, when the white marble exterior can take on a delicate pink or orange glow, or in some cases, appear to lose all substance, floating phantomlike and intangible against the evening sky. Snap a few pictures, if you wish, but try to capture the impression in your mind's eye as well, for no camera can adequately record the enigmatic rapture of this scene.
