Belle Grove is an 18th-century grain and livestock farm, which, in its prime (circa 1815), encompassed about 7500 acres of land. The house has remained virtually unchanged through the years, offering visitors an experience of the life and times of the people who lived there. Today, the plantation includes the main house and gardens, original outbuildings, a classic 1918 barn, an overseer's house and the slave cemetery.
Step back in time more than 220 years and immerse yourself in the days before the American Revolution. The entire town is a living museum complete with educational tours, historical reenactments and demonstrations. Over 90 acres of gardens, 88 original structures, 40 exhibit buildings and many quaint inns and taverns.
