Surf's up on the East Coast! For a swell time this summer, learn to ride the waves at one of the following schools:
Surf Sessions
Catch a wave (and a surf lesson) with Surf Sessions, located just outside Ocean City, Maryland and Fenwick Island in Delaware. Learn ocean safety and board repair from an experienced staff. Brett Buchler, the director, has been teaching for over 16 years.
Take a private or group class with seasoned instructors at this popular Florida school. Students start with ocean/water safety, marine life awareness, and basic beginner techniques. Can't make it to the beach? This school offers lessons in Orlando, home of the largest wave machine in the United States.
Overnight camps and lessons for all ages on the beautiful North Carolina coast. Wrightsville Beach Surfing offers weekly programs for kids, teens, and families. If you can't manage seven days in the water, they offer daily classes for groups or individuals.
