Rare Books and AudobonFirst editions of Shakespeares
Fourth Folio, Darwins
On the Origin of Species and
Winnie the Pooh are on the block at this rare book and manuscript auction and one institution's fate is also at stake.
The Providence Athenaeum has decided to auction its beloved copy of John James Audubons Birds of Ameria in the hopes that selling it will save its owners from closing the doors on the privately-funded library that has served the community for two and a half centuries.
