St. Paul's Sculptures The important sculptures of London's famed St. Paul's Cathedral have long been figures of controversy: Knocked down when the structure was hit by the Blitz of World War II, they've since made their way to a museum, and now are coming to auction. Host Michael Eldridge catches up with them in Los Angeles, getting a close-up look at their detailed marble composition, and learning more about their rich history.
Then he travels to New York for their auction -- a tense affair, since Bonhams and Butterfields doesn't have any idea what price the items will ultimately bring. In the end, the sculptures go for close to the estimated amount, concluding a successful (if somewhat stressful) auction.
