Farmers Market, Single Volunteers, Mail Order Parties (208)Farmers Markets can provide sustenance for a community in more ways than one. LaDonna Redmond built an organic market in an Austin, Texas neighborhood that didn't even have a supermarket. Thanks to her resolve there is now a local farmers market each summer, featuring organic meat and produce for all in her local community.
We talk with Nikki Di Vincenzo, a director for the Washington D.C. Chapter of Single Volunteers. Nikki will tell us all about the success of that chapter and explain to us how people can start their own single volunteer chapters or find out about existing ones in their community.
