Outside In (109)Visit an exercise class where students work every major muscle group while barely leaving their seats. The exercise, known as "Spinning," is an indoor stationary cycling exercise that was created in the 1980s. Stop by Body and Soul, a Southern California facility, and join long-time Spinning instructor Tevia Celli as she guides her class through a great workout.
Next, accompany nutritionist Christopher Lauderdale and personal trainer Dan Isaacson on a tour of a typical neighborhood supermarket. Lauderdale shows Isaacson how to shop for health by identifying the best things health-conscious clients should be putting into their carts.
Finally, meet Kim Purcell, a novelist who is very much attuned to her senses. Purcell's husband gave her an interesting anniversary giftan appointment with perfume expert Sarah Horowitz, who will develop a personalized scent likely to become an integral part of Kim's self-image.
