When the Phillips' decided to remodel their quaint Tuscan farmhouse, they had their work cut out for them. The home is quite large it sits on two-thirds of an acre of land, is 4,400 square feet and has 14 rooms. It took a total of three years to remodel the house and landscape the gardens. The roof was imported from France and is made of recycled materials. The freestanding spiral staircase is made of cut limestone, and hand-blown glass tiles were used to build the kitchen backsplash. It's a good idea to select floor tiles that match the color of the walls. This can really open up the space, making it appear larger.
