Alexandra Angle poses with her dog. Los Angeles, Calif.
|
This Los Angeles, Calif. home is a classic tale of city boy meets country girl. Designers Eliot and Alexandra Angle have merged his love of modernism with her love of nature and created their dream home. Their two-story, 2,100 square foot home was originally built in 1947. The designing duo revamped their new home to reflect their preference for natural materials including bamboo, slate and wood beams. The couple also created their individual sanctuaries: a master bath surrounded by windows, which gives the feeling of being in the middle of a lush garden, and a shower room.

- Use different colors to balance the quality of light.
- Lighting should provide not just overall illumination but spotlight specific area as well.
- Use reflective materials to give a small space the illusion of feeling larger.
- Entertainment amenities can add to the spa's overall enjoyment.
