A loft in Boston, Mass.

Vertical Living (206)
In Boston's bustling leather district, cars, street noise and other signs of life hardly seem like a place to relax. Inside this four-story loft, however, the entrepreneur who lives here maintains an urban oasis, complete with a piano room, cigar room and a roof deck featuring a coral reef fish tank. It is, quite simply, the perfect bachelor pad.

Boston Loft Facts:

  • The building itself was once a leather factory; the interior area is 2,500 square feet.

  • There are no walls to define space; each room opens into another and is spacious enough to accommodate as many as 250 people.

  • The only three doors in the loft are the front door and those in the two bathrooms.
