Wellness (109) Wellness is physical and emotional well-being, how good you feel, and how good you feel about yourself. Wellness is measured by what you do to take care of yourself every day and how you handle whatever comes your way.
The ramifications of stress affect wellness. Its estimated that 75-to-90% of all visits to primary care physicians are for stress related problems.
Leading Causes of Workplace Stress:
- Deadlines.
- Budget constraints.
- Pressure to increase salary.
- Constant change.
- E-mail overload
While stress often causes people to gain weight, many don't realize that their inability to lose weight may be because of their body type.
Different Body Types
Each person has traits from multiple body types. The different body types are:
- Ectomorph: Thin, non-muscular.
- Mesomorph: Well-developed, muscular.
- Endomorph: Soft and rounded.
Of course no matter which body type is yours, a healthy diet significantly increases your wellness.
Tips for Eating Better:
- Let your activities determine how and what you eat.
- Eat 5 to 6 times a day.
- Meals should get smaller throughout the day.
- Dont eat to be full, eat to be satisfied.
- Dont eat blind, ask questions about how the food is prepared.
Exercise also increases wellness. The most advantageous workout takes a functional approach to fitness. Instead of lifting weights to buff up your bi-ceps, the best workout uses all of your bio-motor skills.
There are Seven Basic Bio-Motor Skills:
- Balance.
- Flexibility.
- Strength.
- Endurance.
- Coordination.
- Power.
- Speed.
