When it's all said and done, these culinary novices will be able to cook like they came from the old country. Pallarino shares recipes for gnocchi, sauces and calamari, and offers tips on making the adjustment to cooking for two a little bit easier. Laughter mingles with frustration as everyone discovers something new about themselves, their new family members, and, of course, about cooking. After the sauce is stirred and the wine is poured, Chef Pallarino tastes the results and hands out awards for taste, humor and teamwork.
