AIR TIMES:

The Freshman 15
Eating right in college is tough! Many students fall victim to the dreaded "freshman fifteen," gaining fifteen or more pounds in their first year. Here we meet the parents of six incoming undergrads who are so worried about their soon-to-be freshmen that they've signed them up for a healthy cooking class taught by Chef Lee Anne Wong at Philadelphia's Restaurant School.

Chef Wong knows all about the freshman fifteen and is hoping to get these students started in the right direction. Armed with only a toaster oven and a microwave, they'll learn to make a healthy tomato and bread salad, a citrus glazed chicken breast over a creamy sweet pea and buckwheat salad, and finish with some fresh berries in a cinnamon and basil syrup.

As they cook these dishes, the students not only learn to expand their palettes by trying new things, they also discover just how much fun cooking can be. When the meal is complete, Wong invites their parents to sample the meals--and makes sure they're all comfortable sending their students off to fend for themselves!
