Egg Nog
This is the ultimate holiday drink, one no self-respecting holiday host would go without it. You could always substitute store bought nog and just add liquor, but the made-from-scratch stuff if always superior. Be sure to inform your guests the homemade nog includes raw eggs. Some people are hypersensitive about ingesting uncooked yolks. This recipe calls for light rum, but brandy, dark rum, or bourbon could also be used. Dust the top of each serving with nutmeg for a classic presentation.
