Luxury Sips Tips and Resources

Usually when you think of an item worthy of passing along to the next generation, you think of jewelry, mansions, sports cars and art. Now you can add wine to the list of heirloom luxuries. There’s a new class of world-class wines, primo vintages of unique composition available in such limited quantities they go for top-dollar.
Since most wines get better with age, it’s no surprise many of these uber-pricey sips are from Bordeaux, the region in France where wine has been produced for more than 1,200 years. "The Bordeaux market has been incredibly active in the past few years," says Chris Adams, executive vice president and Bordeaux buyer for Sherry-Lehmann, an upscale Manhattan wine store known for its massive selection of luxury wines.

All prices are for 750ml bottles unless otherwise noted. Prices subject to change based on variations in availability and demand.
