Glace de Vino is wine ice cream without the alcohol, so there's no age limit to who can enjoy it. All four varieties include all-natural ice cream swirled with gourmet wine sauce, a natural combination for Randy Freeman, the creator. "He grew up on a dairy farm in upstate New York and just started experimenting with different wine sauces he had found on his travels," says Scott Fichten, the Chief Ice Cream Officer at Glace de Vino.

"We launched our wine ices creams in the summer of 2006 in the Finger Lakes region of New York," he says. "We had so much success with it in the wine community that we decided to package it in pints and start selling it at the retail level. A lot of our vacationing customers were asking where they could get it back home."

Glace de Vino still sells through wineries in the Finger Lakes regions and stores in New York and New Jersey and its products are available without age restrictions online since they don't have alcohol content. They do, however, require orders in lots of 5 or 10, and ship Federal Express on Mondays.

Strawberry Cream Chardonnay Ice Cream from Glace de Vino includes a sauce made from fresh strawberries cooked in an award-winning chardonnay and then swirled into a creamy vanilla/cheesecake ice cream base.

Chocolate Amaretto Cream Sherry Wine Ice Cream is the company's most popular favorite, consisting of cream sherry wine cooked with all-natural amaretto flavors and then swirled into a creamy chocolate base.
