Even if you don't wear a costume at Halloween, it's a prime time to dress up your party cocktails. FineLiving.com channeled the expertise of Halloween-happy bartenders to come up with 10 innovative recipes just right for the witching season.

While the names are sort of scary, like Zombie, Black Devil or the Blood Sucker, no need to fear bad taste. Each of the drinks is made with standard ingredients, just colored or garnished to look a bit bloody, ghostly, black or orange.

A few of the places that provided recipes, though, are downright creepy, including the Double Eagle Restaurant in Mesilla, N.M., home to the ghosts of a couple of young murder victims and the Red Brick Tavern in Lafayette, Ohio, where bartender Kelley Meredith is at least half-convinced he was photographed with a haunting young lady not long ago.

Not into fright or flight? You can still enjoy seasonal cocktails without the scares, including trick-or-treat candy-inspired Almond Joy and Milky Way martinis and an Autumn Colors concoction with sweet tea and fall hues.

So build up a bonfire, slip into a sheet, dig up your cauldron (or just a martini pitcher will do) and get into the Halloween spirits.
