Liquefied Ghost Cocktail Recipe from 10 Happy Halloween Cocktail Recipes
A mom with grade-school kids, food blogger Janelle Maiocco, host of the website Talk of Tomatoes, writes plenty about food prep for the family, but this creamy cocktail treat is most definitely for the 21-and-up set.
"I will say you have to drink this one quickly or the ghost really does start to look gross (cream behaving badly)," says Maiocco, who is based in Seattle. "But in the nature of the holiday, we welcome gross-looking ghosts!"
While Maiocco says she is a sucker for mixing her own simple syrups, she owns that store-bought vanilla simple syrup or vanilla vodka will work just as well here. "My sons love to use Vanilla Simple Syrup for making vanilla milk and vanilla Italian sodas, so we use this syrup beyond the ghostlike cocktail."
Ingredients:
2 oz. vodka
1 oz. vanilla simple syrup
1 oz. cream
2 oz. soda
Instructions:
Mix vanilla simple syrup, cream, vodka and soda and serve in a martini glass.
