Poinsettia Punch Recipe from 10 Merry Christmas Cocktails
Come Christmastime, the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C. appears much as it did at the turn of the 19th century, lit by fireplace and candlelight.
Nearly 100 decorated Christmas trees, more than 1,000 wreaths and bows, 1,450 poinsettias, miles of evergreen garland and thousands of ornaments grace the estate and this sparkly punch is served at Deerpark, one of its restaurants.
Ingredients:
2 10 oz. packages frozen raspberries (thawed)
1 6 oz. can of frozen pink lemonade concentrate (thawed and undiluted)
1/4 cup of sugar
1 bottle of Biltmore Estate Zinfandel Blanc de Noir or other rose
1 2-liter bottle of raspberry or regular ginger ale
Instructions:
1. Blend the first three ingredients and pour into a wire mesh strainer to get rid of the seeds.
2. Add to a punch bowl or large pitcher.
3. Mix in remaining ingredients and enjoy!
