Off to Brazil and the land of cachaca, a liquor made from distilled sugar-cane juice (most other rums are distilled from molasses). Try Cuca Fresca Cachaca, not just for its taste, but because its makers donate a portion of the proceeds to nonprofit groups dedicated to helping preserve the Brazilian rain forest.
Ingredients:
2 cups of watermelon (seedless)
6 strawberries chopped (freeze and chop in advance if possible)
2 oz. Cuca Fresca Cachaça
2 oz. condensed milk
1 Tbs. superfine sugar
1-1/2 cup crushed ice
Sprig of fresh mint for garnish
Preparation:
Mix all ingredients in a blender. Add ice and blend until smooth. Garnish with a mint sprig.
