Breakfast Martini
Ingredients:
Red food coloring
Sugar
1.75 oz. Absolut Ruby Red vodka
3/4 oz. triple sec
Splash simple syrup
1 oz. grapefruit juice
Garnish: maraschino cherry
Preparation:
Tint sugar with red food coloring. Dip the rim of a martini glass into a rimmer sponge soaked with simple syrup. Fill the rimmer sponge's detachable cover (sugar side) with the pink sugar, then dip the rim into the sugar and agitate until generously coated.
In a separate ice-filled glass, pour in Absolut Ruby Red vodka. Add triple sec and a splash of simple syrup. Top with grapefruit juice. Cover the glass firmly with a cocktail shaker and shake to mix the ingredients.
Holding a strainer over the top of the shaker to keep the ice in, pour the mixture into the center of the martini glass, taking care not to disturb the sugar rim. Drop in a maraschino cherry.
