Take in pristine mountain views at sunrise while living the cowboy life for a week. Learn how to lasso, trail and drive cattle at ZN Ranch, a 29,000-acre traditional working cattle ranch.
Camp Details
- On the first day of camp, participants are introduced to fellow cowhands and a four-legged "buddy," who is matched with riders according to riding ability.
- After a quick breakfast at dawn, the drive commences and consists of trailing 250 cows and calf pairs and may include branding.
- Riders average about eight hours a day on a horse and ride regardless of climatic conditions.
- Base camp is equipped with a portable toilet, solar showers and a cooking trailer.
- All meals are provided and cooked for you.
Accommodations
This is not a fancy dude ranch; life on the range is the name of the game here. Accommodations are either the tent supplied to you, or the one you bring yourself. Supplying your own tent reduces costs and ensures your preferred level of luxury.
