The annual All-Star Fantasy Camps are held in conjunction with the All-Star Games. The 2004 camp is in Houston, Texas. Campers play and dine with former Major League Baseball players and get the chance to play in big league drills, attend off-field parties and play a game on the actual All-Star field.
Camp Details
- Participants must be at least 25 years old to participate.
- Transportation to and from activities is included in the price as well as admittance and tickets for:
- John Hancock® All-Star Fanfest®
- All-Star Sunday®
- Century 21 Home Run Derby®
- All-Star Workout Day®
- MLB® All-Star Game®
- Campers also attend parties with the pros and receive assorted official gear.
- Hotel accommodations are included in the price for this camp.
Accommodations
A Houston hotel will not be selected until April 2004.
Logistics
- Cost: $4,995 per person, $1,000 deposit required (price does not include airfare)
- Time: Four days, three nights
- Seasonal: July 11-14, 2004 (register early since the camp fills up quickly)
Other team-specific fantasy camps run a bit longer — five days and four nights, and with the exception of the Tampa camp, include airfare.
The level of interest determines how often each camp is held.
