• Commit to weekly fun time.
  If possible, designate weekly family "fun time" and stick to it -- whether it's Tuesday night homemade pizza or Saturday afternoon movies.

• Go solo with the kids.
  Think of creative ways to spend one-on-one time with individual children. Time away from siblings and activities with just mom or dad create special bonds and memories.

• Seize the moments.
  Finally, seize impromptu minutes between school and extracurricular commitments. For instance, if there's a 30-minute block to spare before sports practices, rather than run errands, enjoy a snack together while reading a favorite book or reviewing school highlights and assignments.
