Set in 1962, this nostalgic tale highlights the love of baseball, making friends and overcoming fear. Though the adult voice-over by the main character is compelling, the "monster" dog steals the show!
This classic '70s movie presents the humorous shortcomings of a ragtag bunch of little leaguers trying to play ball. Walter Matthau stars as the crusty, cynical manager of a talent-challenged team. Tatum O'Neal and Jackie Earle Haley shine as the tomboy pitcher and juvenile delinquent slugger, respectively.
