Gordon Elliott has lived and worked all over the world. Now he's headed South as the host of FINE LIVING TV NETWORK's Book It: Southern Style.

Born in Liverpool, England, Gordon actually grew up in Sydney, Australia. He attended Sydney University thinking he was destined to be a lawyer until a paper he wrote on the function of media in society changed his destiny.

The paper included interviews with local talk radio celebrities and their influence over the news agenda. One of those celebrities invited Gordon on to his program for an on-air interview. By the time the interview was over, the station manager offered Gordon a job and his media career had begun. By the age of 20, he was the host of his own successful late night radio talk show.

Within three years, he was approached by Australian television to anchor a national morning news broadcast, Good Morning Australia. The show achieved number one ratings in its first season and held them throughout Gordon's six-year stint.

At 30, Gordon came to America to assist his old workmates in creating the Fox tabloid phenomena A Current Affair. Gordon and the same group of buddies also began an experiment in local news called Good Day New York. It wasn't long before the show led the New York market against all network competition.

These successes and Gordon's signature "doorknock" style quickly brought him to the attention of the CBS. They offered Gordon his own syndicated talk show and for four years he offered a fun but intelligent approach to daytime viewing.

Gordon has many successful series on air. He's hosted FINE LIVING's Follow that Food and The Genuine Article. He returns to the network to help viewers make the most of their travels in Book It: Southern Style.
