Dudley's JournalDudley didn't care for seafood, except for the clams we smothered in garlic butter. Digging for clams was a big disappointment for Dudley. We could even say that New Brunswick was pretty much a bust, at least in the food department (although the wide open beaches did make good fields for playing catch).
Dudley, we discovered in New Brunswick, does not like seafood. When we hand him a tasty morsel of lobster or clam, he holds it in his mouth for a second and then treats it like broccoli spits it onto the floor, tentatively sniffs it and then looks up at us with an "Is that all there is?" expression.
We managed to get him interested in a clam only by smothering it in drawn garlic butter. All in all, though, his dislike of seafood endears him to us even more. After all, with Dudley out of the picture, there's more for us. |
