Dudley's Journal
The little brown dog knows sunsets aren't nearly as exciting when you can't see color.

A stunning Rocky Mountain sunset.

As you may know, dogs are colorblind. The brilliant oranges and reds of a fiery sunset are lost on our canine companions, but is that any reason for a little brown dog not to enjoy watching the sun go down? You see, Dudley may not be able to revel in the explosion of color that is the ideal sunset, but he's always looking for an idle lap to perch on and an idle hand in need of something to scratch. A sunset provides both.

So if you happen to be blest with a canine (or feline) companion, the next time you sit down for a good sunset, be sure to bring them along. They may not see the color, but they can certainly feel the warmth on their faces.
