Can you recommend a flooring that won't harbor dust mites?
My 7 year old daughter has an allergy to dust mites and I was advised by the doctor to remove the carpet from her room. I would love to put down a cork floor but it is costly. I want cork because I thought it would be warm for her to sit on. Do you have any other suggestions or is cork the logical answer?

Answer: I am a huge fan of cork flooring because it is durable, warm underfoot and easy to keep clean. Cork or linoleum are both good quality and will last for years so it is worth the investment. They are both a great alternative to carpeting, especially for children with allergies as they help eliminate dust and mold. If you choose linoleum it also comes in a variety of fun colors for kids. Good luck!
