Guitars (207)
Meet the folks at Martin Guitar — an American company that paved the way in guitar technology through brave innovations. Find out about their instruments, then decide which guitar is the Genuine Article.

Guitar Facts:

  • The modern guitar is believed to be a descendent of the ancient Greek cithara, from which the word guitar likely got its name.
  • The Hawaiian word, "ukulele", translates into English as "jumping flea". It was so named because the image was conjured up by flying fingers along the neck of the ukulele.
  • Martin invented the X-brace in the 1830s, a series of braces that stabilize the top of the guitar.
