Ingredients:
bruschetta bread or French baguette
4-5 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
fresh basil leaves, chopped
garlic powder
2 cloves garlic, pressed or chopped
olive oil
salt
pepper
Instructions:
1. Slice bread into 1/2-inch slices. Place on a baking pan and sprinkle garlic powder over each bread slice. Lightly toast bread in oven.
2. Combine and mix chopped tomatoes, basil and salt and pepper in a bowl. In a separate bowl, combine olive oil and pressed garlic.
3. Take toasted bread out of oven. Add a teaspoon of olive oil mixture to bread, coating each slice individually with oil.
4. Do the same with tomato mixture, making sure to cover the surface of the bread.
5. Place baking pan back into the oven for about 2 minutes to warm and serve.
