Sun and Ice (202)
For a sample of sun and ice, start by tagging along with a couple on their way to Alberta. Marc and Christine, returning to the place where they first met, trade in the city life for the slopes of Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. They ski as many of the 113 runs as possible, rip up the terrain park and then climb some ice. The couple stays at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, a five-star ski lodge that offers year-round hiking, mountain biking, white-water rafting, kayaking, skiing and snowshoeing in the secluded wilderness.

Next, in Miami, Beau, Kirsten and Morgan Fox take a chartered catamaran tour to ultimate relaxation at Boca Chita Key. Their destination is Stiltsville, a group of houses built on wood pilings in the shallow flats of Biscayne Bay — an ideal place for the family to stop and enjoy some kayaking and fishing.
