The family enjoys a full slate of winter activities, including heli-skiing, ice skating, snowboarding, snowshoeing and sleigh riding. They also venture into the village of Whistler to discover its many wonders.

Whistler Facts:

  • Whistler Mountain was originally named London Mountain, and the town of Whistler was once known as Alta Lake.

  • To get to Chateau Whistler, you must fly into Vancouver and then take a 2.5-hour (75 miles) drive to the resort.

  • The Fairmont Chateau Whistler boasts 550 rooms, two restaurants, a lounge, a spa and other amenities.

  • Standard room rates at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler start at $230 per night.

  • A one-hour sleigh ride costs $40 for adults and $20 for kids (this includes hot chocolate).
