Bali (120)Two cousins one from Los Angeles, one from Chicago travel across the world for an exotic stay on the Indonesian island of Bali. They stay at the exclusive Begawan Giri Estate near the town of Ubud.
After traveling for more than twenty hours, the two women are more than ready for a rejuvenating spa treatment. They're lathered in a papaya mixture and wrapped in banana leaves and are refreshed as a result. A class with a yoga and meditation teacher allows the cousins to relax even more. They're ready for an adventurous rafting trip down Bali's scenic Ayung River.
They sample some of the local produce when they attend a cooking class with the Begawan Giri's executive chef. A visit to the nearby monkey forest allows the cousins to see wild monkeys, up close and personal. The two women also hike through the expansive rice fields on their way to visit a Hindu temple that is in the midst of preparing for a local festival.
The cousins wind down their visit to Bali by watching people from a nearby village perform a traditional Balinese dance ritual the kecak, meaning the "monkey dance."
