Tahoe (110)Lake Tahoe is surrounded by the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains and encircled by evergreen forests, wildflowers and waterfalls. Located two hundred miles northeast of San Francisco and stretched across the California-Nevada state line, the picturesque lake was shaped by volcanoes and filled by melting glaciers. The Nevada side is famous for casinos and nightlife, while the California side is known for its outdoor recreational activities, beaches, resorts and marinas.
Join us for a visit to the lake, which is known for its rustic alpine architecture, or "Old Tahoe" style. We'll tour some Old Tahoe mansions that are now available as accommodations, such as The Black Bear Inn, and drop in at Fairwinds, a guest home featuring contemporary accommodations that complement Tahoe's natural beauty.
