The Breathing Room’s Amanda Pays is interior designer, actor, TV host, wife and the mother of four boys. Pays has directed the renovation, landscaping, and interior design of 14 houses over the past 16 years and has built a reputation in Los Angeles, Calif. as a stylish residential designer. She has the magical ability to turn an uninspiring house into a home.
Pay’s active partner in her design and renovation business is actor/husband Corbin Bernsen. "From the time Corbin and I met," she explains, "we’ve been collecting everything from doors to mantels?whether we’re in London, Provence or Santa Fe, N.M., if we find something we like, we buy it, ship it home, and store it."
Their projects and homes have captured a variety of styles, including an English manor, a French farmhouse, a California European cottage, as well as a villa nestled in the Hollywood Hills. Most recently, Amanda has focused her on clean, contemporary lines and combined with classic, retro furnishings.
Under her design banner, StylePays, Pays teamed up with Esfahani, Inc., and launched a rug collection. Her furniture collection recently debuted in High Point, N.C., at the Directions showroom.
Pays brings a fresh and colorful style to the home furnishings arena, and her uncanny ability to capture a trend and a look just as it hits the broader retail exposure enhances her ability to create a dynamic and marketable collection.
