Vacationing Pets
The Insider's List With Julie Moran : Episode FLINS-104

Before you take your pet on vacation there a few things to consider:

  • Most hotels charge pet fees ranging from $10-30 a day.
  • Ask about any non-refundable fees or refundable deposits required.
  • Some properties limit pets to smoking rooms or certain section of the property.
  • Make sure you know where the nearest veterinary clinic in the area is.
  • Consider getting a ground floor room to make late night bathroom runs a little easier.
  • Ask about any and or insect poisons in use; many of these are toxic to pets.
  • Find out whether your pet may be left unattended while in room and, if so, if the pet must be crated.
