Simon/Russell BackyardHomeowners Penny and Ed live on expansive lakefront property, but with few places to sit and entertain, this yard could use some help.
Designers Michael Corbett and Constance Ramos step in to make a change! The designers get a chance to meet with Penny and Ed and discover what they have in mind for their backyard. The couple is conflicted: they both want formal yet practical. Then Michael and Constance each create a unique look using only mail order catalogs and websites. Michael's design is up first. He wants to bring the indoors outside by creating a cozy dining area, relaxing seating under the gazebo and a fire pit to keep warm on chilly nights. He even adds a volleyball net for a little outdoor fun.
Next, Constance introduces her design concept, a more whimsical approach featuring a funky polka dot pattern, wrought iron furniture...and even a giraffe! Penny and Ed love both designs, but in the end they decide to go with Michael's functional space over Constance's quirky design.
