Hawaiian Luau (111)Chef Ming Tsai ventures into a lush green valley off the northern coast of the Big Island, Hawaii. He's searching for the perfect ingredients for a luau with his guide, valley native Maile Hannum. Together they horseback through the valley gathering star fruits, pomolos, guavas, avocados and fern shoots, then wander up steep hills looking for luau leaves for a feast of food, music and dance.
Finally, Ming leaves the valley and heads to rough coastal waters to rough coastal waters to go fishing so he can make his Crispy Fish and Taro Chips With Guava Dipping Sauce. Once Ming acquires enough fish and produce, he has a traditional luau fit for kings.
